1" & 2" Risers
For holding Minimount cradles higher - required in some configurations,
e.g. lens at full wide angle. With many cameras, it is necessary
to add an accessory riser, which lifts the microphone to a
height that clears the video frame when at full wide angle.
Typically, with palmcorder type units, where the camera shoe
sits at/on the upper level of the lens, one will need the
one or two inch riser for the Minimount. Cameras such as the
Canon GL1, Sony VX-1000/2000, and JVC GY-DV500U, as well as
DV Pro and other large cameras, the shoe is at a sufficient
height to clear without a riser.
